Lifeline is available to provide subsidies to qualifying home phone and broadband customers who meet the eligibility requirements. The Lifeline program has been established by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) under the provisions of Section 254(b) of the Telecommunications Act of 1996. Contact us to apply and you may qualify for a subsidy if you participate in an eligible federal program or are enrolled in a low-income family. Applicants must be 18 years old or older and have valid Social Security numbers and summit the Lifeline Program Application Form.

By filling out this form, you are siding with customers and say that you understand the importance of Lifeline. You also acknowledge that DirecTV has a limited budget and we cannot provide service to everyone who wants it. By submitting your application on this form, you are agreeing that you will not be repeatedly calling us asking for information about the status of your application.

A Lifeline program is a government benefit program for low-income people who qualify. The Lifeline program offers discounts on home internet and cell phone plans, in some cases reducing the price to as low as $10 per month. The FCC’s program helps millions of Americans connect to the world wide web, putting them on equal footing with their neighbors, family and friends throughout the country.

To apply for the Lifeline Program, please complete the Lifeline Application Form by clicking on the “fill out this application” button. You will have to provide us with some basic information about yourself and your household, so please be sure to include all members of your household who are eligible to participate in the Lifeline Program.

Lifeline provides discounts on wireless and broadband services and access to low-cost internet service. You can also enroll in this program if you’re a senior citizen, have an income of less than 135% of the federal poverty level, or already participate in another government assistance program.
