The p0128 Error Code is a code that indicates that the engine coolant thermostat is not working properly.

What does the p0128 code mean on a car?

When the p0128 error code is detected, the engine control module (ECM) will turn off the cruise control if it is engaged and reduce the engine’s power output and switching to low-speed default settings.

When the p0128 code occurs, the temperature of the engine coolant will rise abnormally. The p0128 code is commonly associated with a faulty thermistor or a inaccurate temperature sensor.

The p0128 code can also indicate a problem with the coolant system, such as a leaking gasket or a bad hose.

Why is my thermostat stuck at p0128?

P0128 is an error code that indicates that the thermostat is not working properly. The most likely cause of this is a faulty thermostat.

The most likely cause of a p0128 error code is faulty wiring. The thermostat isn’t correctly reading the temperature or conditions in the room. This can be caused by incorrect or poorly done wiring, a bad connection, or outdated wiring that doesn’t have a heavy enough gauge to carry the amount of power that your thermostat needs.

What does the trouble code p0125 mean on a car?

P0125 error code is a trouble code that indicates that the engine is running too cold.  Specifically, it indicates that the oil is running too cold.  The internal workings of your car’s engine can’t run properly when the oil is cold, so your car’s engine control module (ECM) is designed to turn off the fuel supply when this code is detected.

The purpose of oil in your engine is to lubricate and protect the hardworking moving parts. In addition, it helps keep the temperature of the engine high enough to allow efficient combustion so that fuel can be converted to energy. When the oil is too cold, there’s a risk that part of the pistons will rub against the walls of their cylinders. This can cause damage and make it difficult to start the car in the future. P0125 error code is an indicator that you need to get your car warmed up ASAP.

This code can come up in either mode of operation — either in idle mode or in the running mode. If it occurs only in idle mode, it’s likely that the oil temperature sensor is damaged. If it occurs in both modes, then the oil temperature sensor is most likely functioning properly and the problem lies with the ECM’s calibration.
