Steam offers refunds on games, software and in-game purchases made on Steam. Refunds can only be applied to the account that purchased the product. Refunds can only be issued for games and software that have been played for less than two hours. We do not offer refunds for games or software that have been played for more than two hours. If you are playing a game online with others, the two-hour limit applies to the time played with all players combined.
You can request a refund of an in-game purchase within 48 hours after you first launch the game, as long as you have not spent more than two hours playing it. You can also request a refund of an in-game purchase if it has been less than 14 days since you bought it, as long as you have not spent more than two hours playing it.
Are you unhappy with your purchase?
Don’t worry, we’ve got your back.We believe in the value of great customer service and making sure that you have a great experience with us. If an issue comes up, please contact us at [steam email]. If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, let us know and we’ll refund your money.
Steam refunds are available to any user who has made an in-game purchase within the last 14 days and has played less than two hours of the game. If you meet these requirements and believe you are eligible for a refund, please submit a request at help.steampowered.com.
Steam’s refund policy is pretty simple: if you want a refund, you get it.
That’s right. You can ask for your money back on any game, at any time. If you’re not satisfied with the product, or if it doesn’t work on your computer, then we’ll give you a full refund. No questions asked!
You can request a refund in two ways:
* Go to the Steam Support site and click “I’d like a refund for this item” under the “My Account” tab
* If you purchased an app from the Steam store, click on “I’d like a refund for this item” in your purchase history.
Steam refunds are a great way to try out a game without risking your hard-earned money. But what if you buy a game and don’t like it? Can you get your money back? We’ll lay out the rules here, so you can make an informed decision before buying your next game.
Before getting any farther, it’s important to note that Steam refunds are only available for games that have been purchased within the last two weeks and played for less than two hours (they also have to be single-player games). If you’ve been playing longer than that, or if the game is an MMO (massively multiplayer online) title with an ongoing subscription fee, then sorry—no refund for you!
If you’re still interested! Here’s how refunds work:
1. You must have logged into Steam after purchasing your game in order to initiate a refund request.
2. Go to “My Games” on Steam and find the game you want to request a refund for; right-click it and select “Request Refund.” You’ll be prompted to enter some information about why you want the refund (and any relevant details), which will help us process your request more quickly.
